Geography
Kish Island, with an area of about 91 square kilometers, is located 18 kilometers off the southern coast of Iran, in the northern part of the Persian Gulf. The island has an oval shape with a large diameter of 15 kilometers and a small diameter of 8 kilometers; and in terms of political and administrative divisions of the country, it is located within Hormozgan Province and Bandar Lengeh County.
The geographical features of Kish, including its location in the strategic geographical region of the Persian Gulf, favorable weather for 8 months of the year, and the presence of coral beaches, have made this island a privileged location in terms of tourism and trade.
