Performance report of the first specialized exhibition and conference supporting domestic manufacturing in the petrochemical industry

Based on the implemented plans, in the second petrochemical leap, the industry’s revenue will reach $25 billion in 1400 and $37 billion in 1404 with the third leap of the petrochemical industry, which will lead to the promotion of Iran’s position and its inclusion in the top 5 countries in the world in the field of petrochemical products production. In this direction, Persian Gulf Holding, with 22 active production and service companies and 10 designs and projects in the pipeline, will play a major role in this transformation.

Following the naming of 2019 by the Supreme Leader as the Year of Production Prosperity, and considering the determination of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company to support and utilize domestic capacity to the maximum in the fields of consulting, engineering, production of products and services, to purchase maximum Iranian products in order to support domestic producers, to utilize the capacity of knowledge-based companies, to pay attention to strengthening the production chain in the petrochemical industry and to launch the domestic construction movement in the petrochemical industry, and to the necessity of close communication between the holding’s branches and subsidiaries with service providers and related product producers, the necessary plans were made to take practical action in order to realize the slogan of the year.

The exhibition to support domestic manufacturing in the petrochemical industry was held on Kish Island from February 17 to 19, in cooperation with the Kish Free Zone Organization, the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology of the Presidency, the Iranian Oil Industry Equipment Manufacturers Association (ISTESNA), and other stakeholders in this strategic area, with the themes of “transfer of technical knowledge, EPC engineering, production of petrochemical industry parts and equipment, strengthening and utilizing the power of knowledge-based companies, strengthening downstream industries of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industries, paying attention to the role of research and technology in the petrochemical industry, and the role of free and special economic zones in increasing the production and export of petrochemical products.”

Among the features of the exhibition section of this event are the coverage of 18,000 square meters of exhibition space by 160 companies active in the petrochemical industry and the holding of more than 400 pre-coordinated meetings. In the specialized meetings section, 17 conferences were held and 24 memorandums of understanding were signed in the first period of this event.
