Specialized Exhibition and Conference on Oil, Gas, Petrochemicals and Refining
(Focus on supporting domestic production)
Specialized Exhibition and Conference on Supporting Domestic Production in the Petrochemical, Refining, and Petro-Refining Industries
In 2019, following the designation of the year as the “Year of Production Boom,” Baharan Tadbir Kish Company, as one of the leading organizers of economic events, designed and planned an event titled the Exhibition and Conference on Supporting Domestic Production in the Petrochemical Industry.
The initiative received significant support and active participation from key entities, including the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology, the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, the Kish Free Zone Organization, and Bank Saderat Iran.
The successful organization of the first edition of this event paved the way for widespread participation from the ecosystem of the petrochemical industry in the second (2020) and third (2021) editions.
The 4th Exhibition and Conference on Supporting Domestic Production in the Petrochemical Industry was held from February 13 to 15, 2023, on Kish Island.
This major event witnessed the participation of over 320 companies, the hosting of more than 36 specialized sessions and conferences, the signing of over 180 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) valued at 200 trillion rials, the presence of senior government officials and stakeholders in the oil, gas, and petrochemical sectors, and the facilitation of hundreds of one-on-one meetings between petrochemical and refining industry managers with domestic manufacturers and knowledge-based companies.
The 5th Specialized Exhibition and Conference on Supporting Domestic Production in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Refining Industries was held from January 28 to 30, 2024, on Kish Island.
Participants in this edition encountered unprecedented challenges in the country’s exhibition landscape. Notably, one of the participants from previous editions, for unclear reasons, organized a similar event within a very short timeframe and exerted pressure and threats on companies to prevent their participation in this event. This effort was aimed at undermining the exhibition and, by entering the field of event organization, directly competed with the private sector, leaving industry stakeholders astonished.
This action by an entity responsible for developing a critical segment of the oil, gas, and petrochemical industry caused numerous difficulties for producers, participants, and exhibitors.
Despite these pressures and unconventional actions, the 5th Exhibition and Conference on Supporting Domestic Production in the Oil, Gas, Petrochemical, and Refining Industries was successfully held with the support of genuine industry stakeholders and dedicated advocates of the sector, hosting more than 260 companies.
Key achievements of the 5th edition included the organization of over 20 specialized sessions and side conferences, the facilitation of more than 500 face-to-face meetings between oil, gas, and petrochemical product manufacturers and industry managers and employers, and the signing of dozens of agreements and contracts.

Iran’s petrochemical industry stands on the verge of another leap forward, striving to achieve a prominent position globally. Based on strategic planning, the second leap of the petrochemical industry is projected to generate $25 billion in revenue by 2021, and with the realization of the third leap by 2025, this figure is expected to reach $37 billion. This growth will elevate Iran to one of the top five countries in the world in the production of petrochemical products.
Following the designation of 2019 as the Year of Production Prosperity by the Supreme Leader and considering PGPIC’s commitment to supporting and maximizing domestic capabilities in consulting, engineering, product and service manufacturing, and procurement of Iranian-made products, the company has placed emphasis on:
