Greetings. In line with the implementation of paragraph “6” of the general policies of science and technology announced by the Supreme Leader (Supreme Leader), paragraph “4” of the general policies of the oil and gas sector, paragraph “2” of the general policies of the resistance economy, the articles of the regulations on production, knowledge-based and job creation in the oil industry approved by the Cabinet of Ministers, as well as the implementation of paragraph “5” of section “A”, paragraphs “7” and “8” of section “B” and paragraph “4” of section “C” of Article (3) of the Law on Duties and Authorities of the Ministry of Petroleum, and in order to manage the ecosystem of research, technology and innovation of the petroleum industry in an integrated, coherent and strategic manner, the most important expected measures are hereby announced as follows:

  • Acceleration, review, structure, pillars, duties and How effective and active institutions in the oil industry ecosystem communicate in order to formulate a policy for its empowerment.
  • Policy-making to formulate a portfolio of priority projects that drive the country’s oil industry technology, and to guide and supervise its implementation.
  • Formulating various methods and mechanisms based on approved laws to finance strategic projects.
  • Facilitating processes to share supply and demand for technology based on new mechanisms.
  • Strengthening the supply chain of goods and equipment needed by the oil industry from within the country with an approach to increasing the depth of domestic manufacturing and focusing on basic items and product groups with characteristics such as high valuation, high importance, high quantity consumption, etc.
  • Guiding the research and technological activities of the oil industry with the aim of meeting the real needs of the oil industry.
  • Formulating and providing mechanisms to facilitate the conduct of tests related to technological and knowledge-based equipment produced domestically by utilizing the facilities of the main and subsidiary companies.
