According to Shana reporter, Mohsen Khojestehmehr said today (Tuesday, October 25) at the ceremony commemorating the Sacred Defense Week at the International Conference Hall (Kushk): “Whatever we have today is from the teachings of the eight years of Sacred Defense.”
He added: “When the imposed war began and we entered the Sacred Defense, we were a newly blossoming sapling that the enemies thought they could easily threaten and destroy us. They miscalculated and did not know that this was a divine revolution, and when they realized that there was no possibility of escape and they had to stay to be suppressed and regret it.”
The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company stated: “The historical memory of the Iranian people is valuable and strong, and their analytical mind is dynamic, and they understand well and know that all the successes we are witnessing now are from the teachings of the eight years of Sacred Defense.”
Khojasteh Mehr stated that those who left brought greatness and dignity to the Iranian people, adding: If we are here today and have something to say, it is thanks to the blood of the martyrs.
Pointing out that today we have something to say in all economic, military, political and social fields, he clarified: This authority and power is due to the hardships we went through in the past, especially during the eight years of sacred defense.
Development of more than 50 percent of Iran’s oil and gas fields after the revolution
Stating that we have now passed the military war, the CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company said: In addition to the eight-year war, we also had a soft and economic war, in which our colleagues at the National Iranian Oil Company stayed in Kharkov so that Iran’s oil exports would not be interrupted for a day. The Abadan refinery was under bombardment, but it was never closed, and more than 50 percent of the development of oil fields and the development of all gas fields has also been after the Islamic Revolution.
Khojastemehr, pointing out that since the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, we have produced about 60-70 billion barrels of crude oil, said: Whenever we overcame sanctions, it was with the support of the administration and management of the eight years of sacred defense, and like the production of missiles, we can manufacture the equipment we need in this industry.
Stating that oil and gas production is one of the indicators affecting economic growth, he added: The growth of production in the economic sphere is the most important thing that must be done in the country, just as the Supreme Leader of the Revolution also named this year the year of production growth.
The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company, stating that the Central Bank has announced the share of oil and gas in economic growth as 16.4, stated: This has been achieved in the context of a full-scale economic war, which indicates economic power for Iran.
Khojastemehr said: At the beginning of the second half of 1400, crude oil production was 2 million 250 thousand barrels per day, which has now reached 3 million 300 thousand barrels per day, which means that there has been a growth of more than 40 percent, which has been achieved through the efforts of the warriors of the front and economic jihad of the Islamic Republic.
Implementation of $50 billion important and priority project at National Iranian Oil Company
He added: Currently, $50 billion in important and priority projects are being implemented at the National Iranian Oil Company, and we produce more than one billion cubic meters of gas daily, which is both economic growth and brings prosperity to the people.
The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company stated: If yesterday the warriors fought for the ideals of the Islamic Revolution, the security and tranquility of the Iranian people, today we want economic growth to raise the index of prosperity, tranquility and security of the people.
Pointing out that the task of the National Iranian Oil Company is to generate wealth in the upstream sector and to create added value in the downstream sector, Khojastemehr said: The economic front is a permanent and large front that we are proud of for all this jihad and sacrifice when the country needs economic prosperity.
He concluded by saying: We were able to put the South Pars Phase 14 refinery into operation, and during this period we invested more than $4 billion in the upstream sector alone, which is a very valuable indicator.
The ceremony to commemorate the Sacred Defense Week was held in the presence of Abdolhossein Bayat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oil Industry Pension Funds, Vahidreza Zaidifard, Deputy Minister of Oil for Engineering, Research and Technology, Azim Shiravand, Head of the Oil Industry Security Organization, Mohammad Sadeq Jokar, Head of the Institute for International Energy Studies, and Major General of the IRGC Mostafa Izadi, Commander of the Cyber and New Threats Headquarters of the Khatam al-Anbiya (PBUH) Central Headquarters, and a group of oil industry employees at the International Conference Hall (Kushk).
